TURMERIC TAHINI- VEGAN BEETS BOWL

MAKES 4 BOWLS

 

INGREDIENTS

TURMERIC TAHINI SAUCE

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon dried turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons water

 

BOWL INGREDIENTS

  • 4 cups of purple cabbage
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 cup chives, chopped
  • 2 cups purple beets, sliced
  • 2 cups golden beets, sliced
  • 2 cups radish, sliced
  • carrots, Julienne
  • 2 cups white rice, steamed
  • sesame seeds, garnish

 

TURMERIC TAHINI INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Place sea salt, turmeric, water, garlic, lemon juice, tahini, and olive oil in a small bowl. Mix and stir in until you have a smooth mixture. Set aside.

BOWL INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Steam the beats for 15 minutes.
  2. Place 2 cups of white rice to cook in the rice cooker. Once beets and rice are ready, assemble the bowls. Place white rice and steamed beets into the bowls. Add in the rest of the purple cabbage, avocado, chives, beets, radishes, carrots, and sprinkle in the sesame seeds. Add your turmeric tahini sauce and enjoy 🙂

    1. I think turmeric is such a powerful anti inflammatory. We have to value its detoxing abilities and it’s excellent for fighting Alzheimer’s. I highly recommend it to everyone, it’s perfect for protecting the gastrointestinal system. I know it’s packed with antioxidants. I can tell a huge difference with my skin since I started using it to cook. I also make turmeric face masks . 💙
